Pak coach Intikhab ALam confirmed the news and said that the 17-year old had aggravated the niggle during the second ODI against Australia and torn a muscle in his groin, which might keep him out of the series now. "We will get the MRI report soon and will then know then extent of the injury, but it does not look good," the coach said.
Intikhab seemed hopeful to see Mohammad Asif playing in Tuesday's third ODI in Adelaide. Asif did not play the second one-dayer due to a finger injury.
