News: No cricket with Pak for 6-8 months: Shukla

Pakistan Cricket Board might want to renew the cricketing ties with India but India seems in no mood to do so. Rajiv Shukla, BCCI Vice-president outrightly refused any possibility of resuming cricketing ties between the two countries for next 6-8 months.

"Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ejaz Butt met with BCCI president Shashank Manohar in Mohali today and they spoke about India-Pakistan cricket. We explained to the PCB chairman that India has a busy international schedule in the coming few months and there is no space in the calendar to play Pakistan," said Shukla in Mohali.

Shukla also said that after eights months officials of the two boards would meet to discuss the possibility of resuming ties. "But it would depend on how relations between the two countries are at that moment, and from there we will take it forward. Hopefully, the relations are cordial and peaceful then and government will also give us permission. But for now there is no possibility of playing against Pakistan," he said.
