Pakistan great Akram slams shock bans
Fast bowling legend Wasim Akram said Thursday bans on key players for their dismal performance in Australia had made Pakistan's cricket "a laughing stock" and should be reconsidered.
Akram was commenting on the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) decision Wednesday to ban former captains Younus Khan and Mohammad Yousuf indefinitely from the national side following this year's disastrous Australian tour. read More..

Malik instigated other players: Report
The Cricket Board decided to take disciplinary action against the players, including indefinite ban on former captains Mohammad Yousuf and Younus Khan, after confirming reports of internal strife in the team and after getting clearance from the Presidency, sources said today.
Well placed sources told PTI that the PCB had kept President Asif Zardari, chief patron of the board, and the sports ministry aware of the recommendations made by the inquiry committee which probed into the poor performance in Australia and into reports of infighting in the team. read More..

Yousuf, Younus not given life bans, says PCB
The Pakistan Cricket Board today clarified that it has not imposed life bans on Muhammad Yousuf and Younus Khan and only barred them from playing for the country in all the formats of the game.
